Raster

  1. Image file that is defined by a pixel that has one or more numbers associated with it. The number generally defines the location, size and/or color of the pixel(s). Raster images are commonly .BMP, .GIF, .JPEG .PNG and .TIFF files.
  2. Lines on the inside of the screen traced by an electron beam to create an image called a horizontal scan line. These lines appear on a CRT monitor or a TV screen.
